Today we are celebrating our Forever Family Day.  Two years ago today after traveling for nearly 40 hours to an orphanage in the middle of a rural province in Vietnam, I finally held my baby girl in my arms.  It was one of the best days of my life!

I have been reflecting on that moment all day today after a particularly rough night with Ana Kate last night.  Life with a toddler (in the midst of the terrible two's) isn't always easy, but I wouldn't trade a single moment.  She is such an amazing blessing and we love her so very much!  I can't believe it's been 2 years already and as I look back at the pictures and videos of our time in Vietnam it's amazing how much she has grown.  From taking her first steps to a sassy big girl that thinks she is in charge of all of us.  : )  She is such a smart and amazing girl, with an absolutely captivating personality.

Today we had a great day!  We did stay at home most of the day, but it didn't rain...yay!  It was beautiful and sunny all day.  Ana Kate took a great nap for me and when Doug got home we went out to look for some new photo shoot locations.  We stopped at one and I took several pictures of Ana Kate....the sun wasn't really where I wanted it and Ana Kate wasn't really into it.  I still managed to get a few decent shots.  Then we picked up some chinese food and had dinner at home with Whitney and Josh.

I thought I'd include pictures on this date from the past 2 years so you can see how much our beautiful girl has grown.
