We stayed at home all day today. I had planned on doing some deep cleaning, but I woke up with a headache...so I didn't get as much done as I wanted. But that will just give us something to do the rest of the week. Ana Kate was such a good girl today...she resisted her nap, but finally gave in and took one. So we were pretty boring today, but it was nice to just be at home and get a few things accomplished. Pictures were a bit of an afterthought today, she wasn't really into it.

We stayed at home most of today. Ana Kate was up before Doug left for work....so she did take a nap today. After her nap we made a quick trip to the store and then we had dinner when Doug got home. I promised Ana Kate we'd go for a walk after dinner, so we took about a 2 mile walk. When we were heading home from our walk she told Doug she had a great day. I feel so much better after walking, so we definitely need to do that more often....especially now that its cooled down.

Ana Kate had a great day at school. We made a quick trip to the grocery store after I picked her up and she struck up a conversations with a girl stocking shelves while we were in there. Ana Kate asked her what she was doing and when the girl told her she was working Ana Kate looks at her and says, 'No my Daddy is the only one that goes to work.' I told Doug about it and he thought it was really funny.
I made vegetarian chili and cornbread for dinner and it was so good....it went perfectly with the cooler weather. I finally got Ana Kate in bed around 9 and I'll be heading that way soon too.

We enjoyed a very lazy Sunday today. Ana Kate and I both slept in and then stayed in our pajamas all day. After my shower and Ana Kate's bath we just put on clean pajamas. I made chicken/broccoli/rice casserole for dinner and apple dumplings (per Ana Kate's request). Both were really good. The temperature dropped here into the 60's and it feels nice, but it was so sudden I wasn't expecting it. Definitely changes how we'll be dressing in the morning.

Today we slept in until 8....well Ana Kate and I did. I could have used another hour, but 8 is better than 7. We stayed home most of the morning and then this afternoon we went to my cousin Jennifer's baby shower. Ana Kate had a great time playing with the others kids and Jennifer got some great gifts. We rushed home to catch the second half of the Razorback game. As you can see in the pictures Ana Kate was ready for game day. I'm was loving the game....until the 4th quarter....so sad! : ( I would say the second picture Ana Kate looks sad because the hogs lost....but really she was just a bit grumpy after a late nap. After taking some pictures and eating dinner we headed out to church. Ana Kate ran right in to class and apparently had a great time playing with her friends. I really enjoyed our service and worship tonight too. Now we're watching Dora with Ana Kate and getting ready to head to bed.

I didn't get much accomplished today. Ana Kate slept great last night, but did not take a nap today. She normally isn't too crabby without a nap, but she definitely was today. I finally put her in the bathtub to play because that always makes her happy....and sure enough, it did. Right before Doug got home I got Whitney and Ana Kate out on the porch to take pictures. (Doug brought Ana Kate a Cubs shirt from Chicago...isn't it cute?) I don't get nearly enough pictures of my girls together.....I love them! Whitney has been home most of the week because she just switched jobs....she recently got her cosmetology license and now she'll be working at a salon! I am very proud of her and know she'll do a great job.
When Doug got home we went out to dinner and did some shopping. Ana Kate is still up....so I'm about to go put her in bed.

Doug got home from Chicago around dinnertime, he's been gone since Tuesday and Ana Kate was super excited to see Daddy. We went out to dinner and Ana Kate was hilarious.....she talked to our waitress and ordered for herself, and she ate all of her dinner. We ran by Walmart on our way home and Ana Kate somehow ended up with a new DVD. She's been asking for the great fairy rescue forever.....and since we saw it (and it was on sale) we got it. As we were checking out she was talking to the cashier when I asked if he'd scanned her movie. She had to ask him herself and then started arguing with him about something, so she finally says....'Your crazy' and he started laughing. He told her that he de-magnitized her DVD already too and she said 'We'll see about that.' She just cracks me up and the cashier thought she was pretty funny too. Of course she had to tell him bye 20 times as we were leaving. As we were walking to the car she said, 'Mommy that guy was sweet'. I really am going to have to write down all the things she says because she really is something else. I was talking to her teachers at school today when I picked her up and they said she is always amazing them with the big things she says. She amazes me...every day, I love her SO much!
Of course when we got home all she cared about was watching her movie....so the pictures were not the best.

We had a day at home today and it was wonderful. We stayed in our pajamas until after lunch and I worked on a sewing project. Ana Kate took a wonderful nap and had a great day as well. Before bedtime tonight she went up to Whitney's room and came back downstairs with a pair of back patent high heels. She told me they were her glass slippers and she loves them. I made her take the shoes back upstairs until tomorrow and she was so particular about where she put them....she didn't want to forget about them tomorrow. : )
I realized tonight when I started this post I only have 100 days left of the 365 project....yay! I love that I have it, but I am pretty certain I will not do it next year. I might commit myself to once a week, but not everyday. I thought it would make me a better photographer, and in some cases it does....but mostly I am just trying to hurry and take photos before bed so that I'll have something to post. Most days I spend less than 2 minutes on photos and that wasn't really my intention when I began this project. But....having said all that I am SO thankful that I will have such an amazing record of this year and I hope Ana Kate will appreciate that someday as well. Also I have looked back through my photos and I can see the growth from the beginning of the year, so that makes it feel worthwhile.

We didn't get much accomplished today. Ana Kate did go to bed early last night (before 8) and slept through the night until around 7 this morning. She is doing much better at night, but the napping in tough lately. We went for a play date at my friend Sue's house and Ana Kate got to play with Drew. They were so cute chasing each other around and I had fun chatting with Sue. I need to do play dates more often, but I already feel like we're on a school schedule now with mother's day out, so I try not to plan too much on our at-home days.
When we got home I made lunch and then put Ana Kate down for a nap....she talked and giggled for almost an hour before she fell asleep. She only slept for about an hour, but that's fine with me...because she was in a great mood when she woke up. I made veggie burgers for dinner and Ana Kate actually ate most of it. She's doing well with the healthier eating. I always say she only likes cheese, and that is what she asks for, but she will eat a big variety of foods that most toddlers won't touch. I'm still trying to get more green things in her diet. She is hooked on Snow White and wants to watch it every night. So after watching it again tonight I put her to bed. I am super tired tonight and feel a headache coming on, so I won't be up much longer.

Today we were up and out the door early for school. Ana Kate always gets super excited when we get there. She did give me a kiss and hug before she went in today though. She also blew me a kiss as I was leaving. I made a quick trip to the grocery store and the dry cleaners and then spent the rest of the morning making a couple of freezer meals.
When I picked Ana Kate up they warned me that she hadn't taken a nap....so she was just a little bit cranky on the way home. She did great after that though. I made dinner and she ate really well....she kept telling me, 'This is SO, SO yummy!'. And she ate all of her broccoli which I love! She has always loved corn, but she hasn't cared much for any green veggies. Lately though she has been requesting broccoli....so I'm hoping salad will be next. We don't eat much junk food around here, but I'm planning on really cutting back on packaged foods and sugar as well. So, I think I'll spend part of this week cleaning out the pantry and refrigerator.
I let Ana Kate watch Snow White again before I got her ready for bed tonight. I was in the other room when the main menu came on and she kept yelling for me to push play. When I came back in the room I heard her talking to herself (apparently she gave up on me pushing play) and she was saying, 'Genesis 1:1' over and over. So she remembered her Bible verse from school! I love it! She also remembered to pray before dinner and it was so sweet hearing her little prayer. I hope she is always this eager to learn the Bible and follow God's word.

We didn't do much today. We headed out to scout some new photo locations and Ana Kate crashed in the car. So the only pictures I have of her from today were in the car. She said 'Mommy, take a picture of me.' and then she started posing.....it was cute. Maybe now she will pose for me now rather that running from the camera. : ) That mark on her chin looks awful! We're not really sure how it happened. She had it when we picked her up at church last night. I didn't even see it until she lifted her chin, so I'm not sure her teachers even knew about it. She told us she ran into a little girl when they were playing outside. So, if she didn't cry, then I bet the teachers never realized she was hurt. I will say it looks a lot worse than it is....it's basically a bad scratch, but looks a lot worse in these pictures.
After dinner we took a walk at the park and when we got home Ana Kate and I watched Snow White before I put her to bed. I am pretty tired, so I think I'll head to bed soon.
