We had a pretty relaxing day today.  We slept in, had a late breakfast, and watched cartoons with Ana Kate.  Doug's parents are still here and are staying in their camper out by the lake.  They had a fish fry today, so we ate lunch with them this afternoon.  We were hoping for a warmer day, but it was pretty chilly and cloudy. 

We did take a few pictures of the lake and several deer that we spotted at the campground.  I didn't get very many pictures of Ana Kate today...so I had very little to choose from.

Not much else going on here....just a lazy Sunday.

Today we had a relaxing morning and then Ana Kate spent the afternoon with Grandma while Whitney cut my hair.  She did such a great job!  I didn't get anything drastic, but she cut off at least 2 inches.  I really like it!  Ana Kate also got a new barbie doll from Grandma today...and she absolutely loves it.  She was a good girl today while I was getting my haircut and I have to say it is SO nice to have Doug's Mom helping me.  Whitney was supposed to cut Grandma's hair too, but was running short on time....so she'll be doing that tomorrow. 

Tonight we had church and the message was prayer.  I think that is an area where we can all grow.  I find that it's often easy to pray in stressful times, but when things are going well...my prayer life is often lacking.  I pray daily, but it's not always with great passion or a God centered attitude.  Sometimes it feels like you are going through the motions and that is definitely not what I want to do or feel.  It was a great message and is someting I will definitely be working on this week.

Photos were super quick after church and the lighting was terrible...so I decided to edit one in black and white.  I thought it was a little bright at first, but was my favorite of the three I edited.

We had a pretty busy day today.  Ana Kate had a super rough night last night.  As soon as I tucked her in bed she threw up, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the night before.  She didn't sleep very well last night though...she cried several times and eventually got in bed with us.  I think she was having bad dreams as well because she talked in her sleep all night.  Hoping she does better tonight.

We met my friend Tammy for lunch and it was so nice to catch up with her.  Ana Kate didn't behave as well as I would have liked, but it wasn't too bad.  However, we stopped by baby Gap on the way home and I just took her in without the stroller (big mistake) and she was terrible!  She didn't want to hold my hand and kept trying to get away from me.  So I tried to hold her, but she wouldn't hold on and was fighting to get down and then starting crying VERY loudly.  I was SO disappointed in her behavior.  I tried talking to her, but she just screamed louder, so I just put everything down and we left.  She continued to cry in the car and by the time we got home she was asleep.  I have had trouble with her before in that store when I don't take the stroller and being naptime probably didn't help either.  So I told her until she could behave like a big girl that she would be riding in the stroller...no exceptions.  So after nap we decided to try going to Target (Ana Kate loves going there).  She was absolutely perfect in there...of course I made her stay in the cart, but she was such a good girl!  So we went from one extreme to the other today.  We met Doug's parents for dinner tonight, it was so nice not have to cook at all today.

I did get out on our front porch to take pictures earlier...so much better than indoor lighting.  It's rainy and cold here....hoping for more sun soon.

We took it easy again today because I still had a lingering headache and Ana Kate had a rough night.  She went to bed around 9, and fell asleep easily.  Then about an hour later I heard her crying and went upstairs...Doug was already helping her, but she was throwing up all over her bed.  She didn't even sit up...she was just laying there.  I don't think she was completely awake.  So after a quick bath, clean clothes, clean sheets, and some medicine I rocked her back to sleep.  She didn't have a temperature and she was fine the rest of the night....so I'm really not sure what caused it.

So, not much activity today.  It was cloudy and a lot cooler, so we stayed inside which made pictures difficult.

On another note, I am trying to teach Ana Kate to pick up her toys when she's finished playing with them.  Let's just say it's not going well.  I have tried to get her into the habit for the past year and I thought maybe she was just too little then.  Well I know she's not too little now, she just doesn't want to do it.  I struggled for at least 30 minutes today to get the job done...and it involved a couple of time outs.  Then when I asked her to pick up her toys for the 4th or 5th time she asked me if she could go to time out instead.  Apparently time out is more fun than picking up toys...who knew?  So...I'm wondering if I should try to make it into a game...any ideas or suggestions??

I woke up this morning with a terrible migraine.  It was beautiful outside today....very sunny and warm (at least 70 degrees)...so I was determined to spend part of the day outside.  It was still windy, but not as bad as yesterday, so we had a picnic for lunch on the back deck.  Ana Kate loved it and I was actually feeling ok at the time.  After playing for a while we went inside for nap and my head started hurting worse, so I decided to take a nap too.  Wouldn't you know that the one day I want to take a nap, Ana Kate only slept for about 45 minutes.  I was feeling horrible at that point, so I put in a movie for Ana Kate and layed down on the couch...and that's where I stayed for most of the night.  I am actually feeling pretty good right now and hoping to be 100% tomorrow morning.

We had a beautiful day here today...warm and sunny!  Yay!  We spent a couple of hours outside playing this morning.  Ana Kate wanted to have a picnic for lunch, but it was too windy for that.  We tried flying her little kite, but didn't have much luck...so we'll have to try it again at the park when the weather cooperates.  Not much else going on here today...I attempted to clean, but Ana Kate was more interested in making a mess.  : )

Not much to talk about today...Ana Kate has a runny nose and a cough, so we stayed home today.  We attempted to play outside, but it was cloudy all day and not quite as warm as I'd hoped.  Photos were difficult as well...Ana Kate just wouldn't look at the camera at all.  Hoping for more sun and warm temperatures this week...go away rain!
