It was beautiful outside today and we took advantage of the wonderful weather.  We went to the park with Grandma & Grandpa and had a picnic, then Ana Kate played on the playground for a while.  It was just a bit windy, but still a lot of fun.  After the picnic Ana Kate was worn out and she fell asleep in the car. 

When she woke up we went to Walmart with Whitney and Josh.  Ana Kate got a kite, so we'll have to go back to the park soon to try it outt.  Today would have been a perfect day for it....too bad we didn't think of it earlier.

I put a pot roast in the oven before we left for the park and that's what we had for dinner.  It was SO good!  Ana Kate's favorite part was the carrots...she's pretty much a vegetarian, not sure why she doesn't like meat, but I suppose that's much healthier.  After dinner we watched one of our favorite shows...'The Amazing Race'.  Our favorite team currently is the cowboys...so we're hoping they win.

I took all of the photos at the park today.  Ana Kate wasn't really cooperating, but I still managed to get some cute ones.

We had a pretty busy day today.  We went to a wedding this afternoon while Ana Kate stayed with Grandma & Grandpa (although I think she napped the entire time we were gone).  She would have been impossible at the wedding though, so I'm so grateful that they were able to help out.

We had church tonight and this was our week to teach in the toddler room.  We only had 5 kids tonight...I don't think we've ever had less than 8, so it was pretty easy and quiet tonight.

I think today's photo is probably the worst one I've posted so far.  Only a couple of pictures taken at all...which were very rushed and very last minute.  I'm planning on spending most of the day outside tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have some more interesting shots.

Today we got up early and headed to my MOPS meeting.  We had a great time and did some really neat crafts today.  Here is a picture of the trivet (hotpad) that I made.  So easy and very cute!


After MOPS I put Ana Kate down for a nap and since my head hurt I took one too.  I was hoping to get rid of my headache but when I woke up it felt worse....but after some coffee and dinner I am feeling much better!  Yay!

I took lots of pictures today (when I was editing them I noticed that Ana Kate had marshmallow all over her face)....I thought about editing it out, but then decided to leave it.

We have tons of stuff going on tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get in bed early tonight...

We were pretty busy today.  We went to several different stores to do some shopping and Ana Kate was such a good girl today.  I even put her in her stroller in one store (which she doesn't care for) and she was perfect!  I think pigtails might be her signature look for a while...she loves them!

Grandma and Grandpa arrived today from Iowa...so Ana Kate was super excited!  She was SO happy to see them and of course wanted all of their attention.

I had a million things to do tonight and just not enough time to get them done....I do have one funny story though.  We were checking out at Walmart today and Ana Kate asked the cashier what her name was (she does this all the time).  Well the girl said her name was Candace....so Ana Kate looked at me with a frown and then looked back at the girl and says....'No...that's Mommy's name'.  It was really cute and I don't think Ana Kate ever really believed that was her name as well.

Very few photos to choose from....we just didn't have time to mess with them today.

We have an early start tomorrow, so I'm heading to bed.

Not much going on today...we had a rough night last night.  Ana Kate didn't fall asleep until after ten, but she was up again at midnight, so I ended up not going to bed until 2am!! I am SO tired today.  I did make her nap this afternoon, but woke her up earlier than usual....which made for a cranky girl.  Ana Kate almost always wakes up happy, but when you wake her up....lookout!  I'm hoping for at least 7 hours of sleep tonight...I can dream, right?  I must admit my issues falling asleep are making it worse on me...I can rarely fall asleep before midnight, so I'm going to really try to start going to bed earlier.

Whitney was still in a lot of pain this morning, so she finally went back to the doctor this afternoon.  Turns out the reason she was in so much pain is that she had dry socket.  They said it was pretty bad, but were able to treat it and give her more pain medication.  She was so much happier when she got home!

Ana Kate had her pigtails again today, so she was excited to have her picture taken.

Another slow day here...so not much to say.

Ana Kate napped very well today, but I had problems again getting her in bed tonight.  She was still awake when I started this post...after 10pm.  I'm wondering if I should wake her up earlier in the morning or maybe shorten her nap to only an hour each day.  I might try both and see if it helps.

More funny sayings from today: 
-Ana Kate was in the bath today and she started rubbing either side of her nose below her eyes and when I asked her what was wrong she said, 'Mommy I think my sinuses are bothering me'.  I have no idea where she got this....maybe a commercial??  Too funny though and probably true as she's had a runny nose all week. 
-Then tonight she was sitting on the couch with me watching a movie and she got really close to me and was looking at my eyes....and she said, 'Oh...I see Ana Kate', so I asked her if she could see her reflection in my eyes and she looked again for a long moment and then said...'Wow!!'...she was so amazed by it!  I love it when I catch the amazement and wonder in her little face and voice when she learns something new.

Photos were very quick and very last minute today...I just didn't have much energy.  I love the first one, but it's not as sharp as I would have liked...then I asked for a nice pretty smile and I got her fake smile in the second one.

Not a lot going on today.  I put Ana Kate's hair in pigtails and she loved it...she kept asking to look in the mirror.  Ana Kate did great napping today, but was really a little stinker tonight and then fought going to bed.  I finally got her to fall asleep by laying in her toddler bed with her.

Whitney rested more today but still isn't feeling very good.

Photos were very quick...but I caught a couple of smiles...I just love her dimples!
